Entering International Addresses

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Open the taxpayer record.
    • If you are creating a new taxpayer record, choose File > New > Taxpayer.

    Address info is located in the General Tab.

  2. Click Add in the Address Field. From the drop down in Address Type, select International.

    The International Address should resemble one of the following examples:

    Addresses- 2

    Note: Country should either be the address country or NONUS (Out of the US) depending on entry method used.

  3. Enter the City and Province and Postal Code all within the City Field.

    Caution: It is important the information is entered in the correct format in this field. The Canadian address requires two spaces between the province and the postal code

International Addressing

Sending correspondence to an international address has specific requirements. For more information about the US Postal Service’s regulations for international addressing, please visit the USPS website to access the International Mail Manual.
