1.Scheduling Holidays #

Purpose

Use this procedure to set up a calendar of office and banking holidays.

This information is used when business days or holidays need to be taken into consideration. For example, in the Generating Refunds in Mass activity, business days are used when determining which refunds to select.

You can select any year, past, present, or future, for which to set holidays.

Prerequisites

  • In order to perform this procedure, the following user right is required:
    • PACS Administrator > Calendar Maintenance

Procedure

  1. In PACS, choose Tools > Calendar Maintenance.

  2. In the Calendar Year section you can do the following:
    • To add a year to the calendar year list, click Add Add and enter the year in the Calendar Year field of the Holiday Schedule section.
    • To delete a year from the calendar year list, select the year to delete, and click Delete. Delete
  3. To edit the holidays of a calendar year, do as follows:
    1. In the Calendar Year section, select the desired year. The existing holidays for the selected year appears in the Holiday Schedule section.
    2. In the Holiday Schedule section, click Edit.
      • To add a holiday, click Add. Add In the blank row added to the end of the list of holidays, complete the following fields:
        • Date

          The starting date of the holiday.

        • Description

          A brief description of the holiday.

        • Days

          The length of the holiday, in days.

        • Office Holiday

          Select this option if the holiday is considered an office holiday.

        • Bank Holiday

          Select this option if the holiday is considered a bank holiday.

          Note   A holiday can be both an office holiday and a bank holiday.

      • To edit an already existing holiday, double-click the holiday you want to edit, and edit the fields as described for adding a holiday.
      • To delete an already existing holiday, select the holiday you want to delete, and click Delete. Delete
    3. To save your changes, click Save. To discard your changes, click Cancel.
