FL Confidential Flags

Set the configuration for confidential flags in system.

Purpose

Allows the user to set the Confidential Owner Flag at the Property/Owner Level

Procedure

1. Open Property >  click the Owner/Agent  tab, click Details to open Owner dialog
2. User has option to:
   1. Check ‘Taxpayer is classified as a Confidential Owner’ checkbox- this reflects the system configuration confidential name rather than the legal name to reflect
   2. Check ‘Suppress this taxpayers’s information from the website’ checkbox – this removes the property from the Vendor Export.

Note:  To review the actual legal name on the property, user will check the ‘Confidential’ dialog box.  This will reflect the legal name.

Procedure

1. Open Property
2. Click Identification
3. Under the General dialog>Address>Click ‘This taxpayer address is classified as a Confidential Address’ checkbox
4. Click Save

SB 248 Changes to Exports

File>Export

• All Exports found under the menu item Exports will include the options to Suppress Confidential Information or Exclude Confidential Information
• Suppress Confidential Information checkbox on the Export Dialogue
  • When checked the export will suppress ALL owner names, address and situs information on any property where the owner OR address is marked confidential.
    • account.confidential_flag = ‘T’ or account.confidential_address_flag = 1 or property_val.related_confidential_address_flag = 1
  • The actual value will be suppressed and replaced by the following:
    • Tools>System Configuration>Confidential Name Options:
      • File As Name = Confidential File As Name
      • First Name = Confidential First Name
      • Last  Name = Confidential Last Name
    • Address Line 1 or wherever there is a combination of other address fields for display will be related by Tools>System Configuration>Confidential Address Display>Mailing Address Display
      • All other Address field swill be replaced by an empty string
    • Situs display (property_val.situs_address_display) will be replaced by Tools>System Configuration<Confidential Address Display>Situs Address Display
      • All other Situs fields will be replaced by an empty string
